He has won every genre of genre fiction award and been shortlisted for many others. His wide-ranging work has been translated into many languages. He is also the editor of two anthologies – The Mammoth Book of Best New Erotica and Best New Erotica 2 – and three collections of his short stories, Flesh and Blood (short story), The Valley (short story) and Dear Reader (short story)
